Script on Titanium
What’s up people?
I have a little quiz coming right up!
It’s about a little element I found on the element table
It has a very strength but very low density
It is use a lot in tennis rackets along with Al
It is very resistant against acids but the only metal that burns in N gas
It is one of the transition metals that are middle reactive.
Can you guess what is it?
Do you know what this element is? Well, it’s Titanium and as you can see, you use titanium tennis rackets a lot (if you do play tennis.)
Titanium was discovered by Reverend William Gregor in Cornwall, England in the year 1791.
Titanium is a low density metal. However, it has very good strength and is an excellent corrosion resistant metal, means that resist against being eaten away by different kinds of acids. An interesting fact that Titanium is the only metal that burns in N gas. Titanium is the 22nd element in the table which means it has 22 protons and 22 electrons in its atom. Its atomic mass is a total of more than 47.5 and less than 48 (47.867) so it means it has up to 4 extra neutrons.
Titanium has a melting point at 1660 degrees Celsius and boils/evaporate/becomes a gas at 3287 degrees Celsius. It is a very strong metal to have a melting and boiling point that high.
